Christine Seraphin

Christine Seraphin is an Afro-Caribbean American vocalist, songwriter, educator and activist from Connecticut, USA. For the last 7 years, Christine has been performing globally with various ensembles and musical projects. She recently released her debut album with her Future Soul band, Seraleez, and is currently working on her next album. She uses her music and song-writing as an instrument for social activism and the encouragement of conscious thought. In 2014, Christine co-organized Soul Sisters Berlin, a collective dedicated to connecting Black women in Germany. She co-organized the first ever Black Arts Retreat for Black women in Germany among other events centering Black women. Christine is also a passionate supporter and active volunteer for Sankofa Kita (an educational safe space for Afrodiasporic children in Berlin). Currently, Christine is finishing her Master’s degree in Cultural Relations & Migration at Sigmund Freud Privat Universität. Christine is proud to co-direct and perform in her the first theater piece she’s ever created, Mirror, Mirror!
