Daphne Brunet is performing artist, dramatist, director and cultural practitioner. She received her B.A. in Film Production (directing and screenwriting) from Brooklyn College and a certification in Circus Pedagogy from the Circus Akademie in Berlin. Her practice incorporates storytelling, dance, floor and aerial acrobatics, intuiting, and circus pedagogy. As a cultural practitioner she facilitates encounters that explore collective experiences which define our social identities. The encounters propose spaces in witch, by activating and engaging our bodies as sources of experience and tools of discernment, we can reimagine (aspects of) our shared realities and give attention to the stories that inhabit or inhibit our individual and collective bodies.
At Ballhaus Naunynstraße Daphne is involved as a dramaturge in the project of the akademie der autodidakten Gegenrhythmen and as a director assistance in the portrait performance TRVΛNIΛ.
