Jenaba Samura
Jenaba Samura studied Gender and Postcolonial Studies in Göttingen and London. In her work as a freelance educational consultant, author and podcast host, she is constantly working at the intersection of theater and politics. Jenaba’s main topics are the link between colonization, gender constructions and sexuality as well as colonial trauma and the effects of racism on mental health. In the development of Magda Korsinsky’s work WERDEN (2023) at Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Jenaba Samura led the writing workshop alongside Pasquale Virginie Rotter.
In 2025, she took part in the theater workshop Extended Cooperation at Ballhaus Naunynstraße, financed by the prize money from the 2023 Theaterpreis des Bundes. Here, together with Elona Beqiraj, she developed a script for the Showing Extended Cooperation Vol. II, which has been part of the repertoire since fall 2025 under the title Your Baggage Unattended.
