Jivi (babyji) is a DJ and artist. His musical journey began with Bollywood and evolved as he immersed himself in the underground electronic scene of Mumbai. Jivi’s work fuses South Asian influences with Latin bass, breakbeat and pop to create energetic and expansive soundscapes.

As resident DJ at Refuge Worldwide, Jivi organizes music events to give a platform to the voices of BIPOCs in Berlin. This includes the Daytimers series, which aims to create spaces for exchange and community through music.

In 2024, Jivi is part of Ariel William Orah’s performance The Melancholic Melody of the New Economy, which explores identity, migration and the experiences of the South and Southeast Asian diaspora in Berlin’s tech industry. This piece reflects his ongoing commitment to highlighting marginalized voices and stories in the city’s cultural landscape.
