Laila Soliman, author, playwright and director, born in Cairo in 1981. Lives and works in Cairo. Her works have been shown in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and various European countries, among others. Her most important works include Ghorba, Images of Alienation (2006), …At Your Service! (2009), Spring Awakening in the Tuktuk (2010), Lessons in Revolting (2011), which she developed with Ruud Gielens, and the documentary theater series No Time for Art.
