Marlize André has a professional medical background and is an activist with expertise in migration, healthcare for transgender, intersex, and non-binary people, and global health, particularly in East and Southern Africa. She is committed to dismantling systemic discrimination in health care and improving access for marginalized populations, particularly transgender women and people of color. Marlize is also part of Casa Kuà, a registered association with health services in Kreuzberg, Berlin, that specializes in racialized trans*, inter*, and non-binary people. Marlize’s goal is to bring about the creation of a more equitable healthcare system and to counter anti-gender and anti-feminist movements.
