Rebecca Riedel, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1971, studied art at the Minerva Groningen Art Academy and experimental media design at the Berlin University of the Arts after training as a milliner. Since 1999 she has been a member of the artist group Superschool, which plays with contemporary media production and reception in performance projects and gives guest performances in art and theater. She developed various video installations and music videos. Currently Rebecca Riedel is active as a filmmaker and video artist often together with Mieke Ulfig. She works with Armin Petras, Rimini Protokoll and Studio Braun among others at the Maxim Gorki Theater, Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin, Volksbühne, Münchner Kammerspiele, Schauspiel Frankfurt as well as Schauspiel Stuttgart.
