Zuher Jazmati (he/him) is an organizer, moderator and political educator. He studied Politics of the Near and Middle East in Marburg and Cairo, as well as Empires, Colonialism and Globalization at the London School of Economics. For many years, Zuher has been working intensively around topics such as (anti-Muslim) racism, (continuities of) colonialism, Syria, queerness and intersectionality. Zuher also works as a subject specialist at the VBRG e.V., an association of counseling centers for victims of right-wing, racist, and antisemitic violence.
In 2023, he co-founded ADIRA, a collective that organizes events, especially parties, for the queer Arab community in Berlin and is active beyond that. Zuher was also a co-host of BBQ – Der Black Brown Queere Podcast, a Spotify Exclusive podcast that was later produced by COSMO and ARD.
Since 2024, Zuher has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Heidehof Stiftung and a Management Board member of the Clubcommission e.V., where he advocates for the interests of Berlin’s club culture.
