Ballhaus Naunynstraße

Performance project - OPEN CALL

For her fifth production at Ballhaus Naunynstraße, the Black choreographer, visual artist, and parent Magda Korsinsky is seeking three performers who identify as Black FLINTA* and FLINTA* of Color and who have caregiving responsibility for children. Dance and singing experience are required.

The new project explores the beauty, tensions and achievements in the everyday lives of BIPoC  FLINTA* parents, navigating care work, economics, external and self-determination and collective resistance. On stage, an immersive cosmos of personal testimonies, dance and song emerges within a textile installation – an interdisciplinary archive of Black parental realities.

Rehearsals begin: 18 May 2026
Premiere: 1 July 2026
Venue: Ballhaus Naunynstraße

Casting: 28 March 2026, 10.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m., at Ballhaus Naunynstraße.

If interested, please get in touch with a short introduction, a photo and a few sentences about your motivation, and indicate which of the two casting dates you are available for. If neither date works for you, feel free to reach out anyway.
