After Laura Alonso graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, majoring in Physical Education, from the University of A Coruña, she attended the Danza Carmen Senra School in Madrid, where she studied ballet, jazz and various contemporary dance techniques. In 2009 she danced in the piece Sabbath Matter in the festival „Gracias xfavor,“ directed by Jesús Rubio. Since then she has been developing her work as a dancer and dance teacher. She then moved to Berlin, where she worked with choreographers such as Kelvin O’Hardy, Alba Lorca, Regina Rossi and Modjgan Hashemian. She also teaches contemporary dance „the Etage -Schule für Darstellende und Bildende Künste“. Since 2009 she collaborates with Grupo Oito.
Laura Alonso has worked at Ballhaus Naunynstrasse on productions including akademie der autodidakten Kraftwandler*innen (2024) and the performance STRICKEN (2019) by Magda Korsinsky.
