Jean-Philippe Adabra

Jean-Philippe Kodjo Adabra studied at the Filmschauspielschule Berlin until 2008. He has appeared in various short films and TV movies, including Praia do Futuro (2012, directed by Karim Ainouz), Stille Zeiten (2013, directed by Görkan Göki), Da kam Noah (2014, directed by Florian Peters) and Der neue Eichinger (2012, directed by Theresa Henning), for which he co-wrote the screenplay with Theresa Henning. At Saalbau Neukölln, he appeared in Geschlechtsleben der Migranten (2008, directed by Peter Wittig). At Ballhaus Naunynstraße, he performed in Der kleine Bruder des Ruderers (2010) directed by Simone Dede Ayivi, Walking Large (2017) directed by Atif Mohammed Nor Hussein, which was nominated for the Monica Bleibtreu Award, Aesthetics of Color – ein Kammerspiel (2019) by Toks Körner, Abdruckkörper (2022) by Yatri Niehaus and Im Strom (2022) by Atilla Oener. He has also taken part in staged readings and panel discussions. In April 2024, Jean-Philippe Adabra was at Ballhaus Naunynstraße with the play Courageux! Furchtlos! directed by Atif Mohammed Nor Hussein.
