Janine Jembere
Janine Jembere is a filmmaker and sound artist. She studied at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler and the UdK Berlin. She is a PhD candidate at the Academy of Arts Vienna, where she researches hierarchies of sensuality with a focus on gender and race. She works as a cinematographer and sound recordist for documentary and experimental films, with the performance collective remote control and is co-operator of the project space betonsalon. For the akademie der autodidakten she realized workshops, a video installation, three editions of the Kiez-Monatsschau and most recently together with Yara Spaett the performance project Female Gaze.
