Jasco Viefhues, is director, video artist and dramaturge and has been working in the field of new media, design and film since 2001. From 2005 to 2017 he studied directing at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (Dffb). In spring 2019 his documentary film about Jürgen Baldiga Rettet das Feuer premiered at the Munich Film Festival. Since 2016 he has been expanding his artistic repertoire beyond film to include work as a theatre dramaturg, workshop leader and video artist at the Theater Ballhaus Naunynstraße in Berlin. At Ballhaus Naunynstraße he made his debut as a theater director in 2020 with Complex of Tensions. He is also involved in Abdruckkörper (2022) by Yatri Niehaus, his scenic reading Of free men (2023) and Becoming My Body (2019) by Bishop Black, among others.
